Not too long ago I was lucky enough to
be a bridesmaid for a close member of my family. I got to be part of
that very special day for her and was able to bond in a way unlike
any other. I got to share lots of her firsts with her new partner in
life including “The First Look,” (the moment when the groom first
sees his blushing bride in white).

Resolutions, Just Do It
It's a new year and with that, the
reboot of the resolutions. Thus, I thought I would take this
opportunity to post about the one resolution that is on everyone's
list, if not at the top of the list, the resolution of
getting more exercise. Everyone's schedule is different and finding
time to fit exercise in can be difficult. This is when I remind
myself what my brother often tells me, “You always have time, it is
up to you to prioritize it.” This philosophy can be applied to many
different things in my life, but at the moment getting exercise is
among the top.

Bling at Dine About Town
Today I want to share one of the
greatest secrets of living in the city. Twice a year San Francisco
hosts special “Dine About Town” menus. I want to get this message
out before the event ends. “Dine About Town” runs January 15-31
and June 1-15. During this time many of the pricier fine dining
restaurants get together to offer pre-set menus at a fixed cost.
Lunch is usually a fixed price 2 or 3 course meal for $18.95 and
dinner is a 3 course meal for $36.95. I love this event because I get
the chance to dress up, go to a fine dining restaurant, and taste artisan food even though
there was no special occasion. (Although if a special date falls on
that time period, that would be something extra sweet.)

First Post, First Covet
I want to commemorate my first ever
post on a blog by sharing an item that I have been coveting during the
holidays. I happen to have a birthday that has always fallen on
finals week. My friends and I would be cramming and no one would be
in the partying mood. Thus, it is rare that I actually celebrate my
birthday on my actual birthday. This year I decided to splurge on
myself first. As always with online orders, there was that usual
excitement (like a kid on Christmas Eve) in anticipation of opening
that box.
